When you have a special needs child, you understand the paradox. You love your child just as they are, you struggle to help them overcome their challenges, and you are sometimes (often!) frustrated when they can’t meet the expectations that exist for a “normal” child.
One of the most important things when dealing with a special needs child is to take care of yourself as a parent, even though there isn’t often time, or energy, or patience.
This workshop will help you put your reactions to your child not turning out exactly as expected into perspective, without judgement or criticism. When you learn to have more compassion for yourself, you have more resources to help and support your child.
